My son has a history of mental illness since childhood. As a young adult he tried many times to kill himself using drugs and threatened to jump off a bridge and another time out of a highstory window. My son got about 1.75 years sober and finally had a real life, until last week he and his gf broke up and Friday he received a $30,000k settlement check and began using meth smoking and injecting.

Sat morning he went to hospital because he was hearing voices and he left rejecting their 3 day hold. Sat night he got a hotel room in the ghetto Rancho Cordova and went gambeling and injected meth again and began calling me and his grandmother threatening suicide again.

I finally called the police this morning, Sunday morning, to try to find him in the hotel room and 15 minutes later an officer called me back and told me that my son had called them for help and asked to go to the hospital where they left him. The officer said he didn't qualify for the 5150 because my son was lucid and was asking for help. But, of course, my son never checked into the hospital and has been missing all day. 2.5 years ago my son tried to kill himself by injecting $120 worth of meth and now with this settlment my son has $30,000k.

His grandmother has agreed to be temporary conservator and I have agreed to do whatever I need to do. Please call me asap and it is okay to leave a message if I do not answer. thank you.
